Donations

Become a benefactor. NewstrAid is proud to be supported by many of the major companies in the news trade. You or your company can become an official benefactor to NewstrAid simply by writing to the Chief Executive and committing to donate any amount from £1,000 annually. We recognise our official benefactors in both our annual report and accounts and our Gala Dinner and Dance programme. A mention in your own company accounts would also be very much appreciated.

Become a Member: You can become a Full Voting Member by simply filling in the application form. It can be downloaded here.

Make a donation: We are always grateful for any donations we receive, however small. They all go towards our work of helping those from the news trade less fortunate than ourselves. You can now donate online using our new secure online credit card facility. To make a donation click here. Alternatively you can send any donations to our Barnetson Court office. You can help us claim Gift Aid of 28% on any donation here.

Set up a Direct Debit: Using our new secure online facility you can make a regular contribution to NewstrAid. To give us regular support click here.

Leave a legacy:  It is not as difficult as you might think to leave something once you have gone. Usually, simply leaving a codicil with your copy of your Will enables your executors to know of your desire to help. You can download a pro forma for this here.
If you are in any doubt about your bequest, you should speak to your solicitor and show him the codicil. Either way, it is a lovely gesture.

Payroll Giving: is a very easy and tax efficient way of helping NewstrAid. Check if your employer has a Payroll Giving Scheme (most have) and simply fill in the form from our “Downloads” section and hand it to them. As it is tax free; effectively, for every £1 that comes out of your take home pay, the Government adds 20p (if you pay basic rate tax – more if you pay higher rate tax).

Please make all cheques payable to: NewstrAid Benevolent Fund.
