The NewstrAid Benevolent Fund, still affectionately known
as “Old Ben” is the news trade’s
own charity, to the benefit of individuals in the retailing
and distribution
section of the newspaper and magazine publishing industry
throughout the UK.
NewstrAid is integral to the Trade and is there to assist when colleagues become casualties of modern society, not just because they are elderly or infirm.
NewstrAid is supported by all arms of the News Trade – publishers, wholesalers, retailers and transport companies, and without that help, would not be able to carry out the good work that it does.
