Area Committee Awards 2024

The following awards were presented as the NewstrAid AGM on 26th June 2024.

Awarded to the South Wales & South West Area Committee for the best performance and contribution to Head Office for the last 4 years.

Awarded to the East of England Area Committee who more than trebled the profit from their flag ship Sea Fishing event at Ramsgate.

Awarded to the East Midlands Area Committee who organised the 27 mile Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge which raised over £6,000.

Awarded to the West Midlands Area Committee who, under the new leadership of Chris Shuttleworth, have recruited 5 new members.

Awarded to the North West Area Committee for again raising the most money during 2023.

Awarded to Sam Whiteside for stepping in as interim Vice Chair of the Welfare Committee during 2023.

Awarded to the North West Area Committee for raising £132,000.

Awarded to the Scottish Area Committee for raising £115,000.

Awarded to the Thames Valley Area Committee for raising £102,000.

Awarded to the West Midlands Area Committee for raising £102,000.

Awarded to the East Of England Area Committee for raising £75,000.

Awarded to the South Wales & South West Area Committee for raising £71,000.

Awarded to the Yorkshire Area Committee for raising £64,000.

Awarded to the London East Area Committee for raising £42,000.

Awarded to the East of England Area Committee for raising £40,000.

Awarded to the Shires Area Committee for raising £37,000.

Awarded to the Wessex Area Committee for raising £35,000.

Awarded to the Surrey & Sussex Area Committee for raising £33,000.

Awarded to the North East Area Committee for raising £22,000.

Awarded to Murdoch MacLennan who was NewstrAid’s President from 2014 until 2023 and has been a huge supporter of the charity for many years.
