Better Retailing Festival Raffle Raises Over £1,000 for NewstrAid

Retailers and key suppliers showed their generosity at the recent Better Retailing Awards, helping to raise more than £1,000 for industry charity NewstrAid through a special raffle held during the event on Thursday 16th October.

It was the first time the awards partnered with NewstrAid for fundraising — and the response was overwhelmingly positive.

Neil Jagger, CEO of NewstrAid, said: “We were thrilled that Newtrade Media agreed to host a NewstrAid raffle at this year’s Better Retailing Awards. Having a presence at such a key event in the retail calendar gave us a fantastic opportunity not only to raise vital funds but also to increase awareness of the support we offer to people from across the news and retail trade.”

The funds raised will go directly towards helping individuals from the industry who are experiencing financial hardship or emotional and practical challenges.

Jagger added: “A large proportion of the people we assist come from the retail sector, so events like this are crucial to sustaining our work. We’re extremely grateful to everyone who bought a ticket and contributed to such a great total.”

Parin Gohil, Managing Director of Newtrade Media, commented: “It was a pleasure to support NewstrAid in this way. We’re delighted that the raffle raised more than a thousand pounds and helped shine a light on the charity’s vital work within the industry.”
