Industry Charity sends care packages of PPE to hundreds of vulnerable beneficiaries

In September, news industry charity NewstrAid were delighted to deliver hand sanitiser and reusable face masks to hundreds of their most vulnerable beneficiaries throughout the UK. The initiative was supported by InterSend Ltd who distributed the packages for the charity.

Mike Mirams CEO of NewstrAid said: “This was the second coronavirus care package that we have sent to our beneficiaries this year following a hamper of goodies we distributed back in May during lockdown. The aim of these mailings is to ensure our beneficiaries know that they are not alone and that we are there to help them during this difficult time.”

The PPE packages which went out to over 500 people across the UK, were extremely well received and the charity was inundated with messages of thanks including the following:

Thank you so much. Just knowing people are thinking about folk less fortunate makes a huge difference

Such a lovely and most welcomed surprise. Extremely thoughtful of NewstrAid to think about us during such a worrying time

Just a quick note to thank you all at NewstrAid for the wonderful & thoughtful gift of the hand sanitiser & masks, they are very much gratefully received as I am one of the high risk groups being Diabetic among other illnesses, so protection is paramount for me.
