Industry rallies behind NewstrAid at this year’s NMA Awards

Guests attending this year’s Newspaper & Magazine Awards (NMAs) raised more than £1,400 in support of NewstrAid, the industry charity dedicated to helping those working across newspaper and magazine sales and distribution.

The annual event, organised by the Association of Circulation Executives (ACE), took place at the Marriott Grosvenor Square on Wednesday 15 April. For the second consecutive year, attendees were invited to donate to NewstrAid, once again demonstrating the sector’s strong commitment to supporting its own.

Neil Jagger, CEO of NewstrAid, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated during this year’s NMAs. With rising fuel costs continuing to impact so many, every contribution will go directly towards supporting colleagues across our industry who are facing challenging times.”

Each year, NewstrAid provides vital support to hundreds of individuals, offering financial assistance, emotional support and practical guidance when it’s needed most.

James Beardow, Chair of ACE, added: “We are proud to support NewstrAid in this way and delighted that attendees have once again shown such generosity. We know the funds raised will make a meaningful difference to the charity and the people it supports.”
