Mike Mirams appointed Chief Executive of The NewstrAid Benevolent Fund

Following the announcement of Alex van Straubenzee’s retirement from his position as Chief Executive Officer of NewstrAid, the trustees are pleased to announce that Mike Mirams has been appointed to the role, with effect from 1st November 2018.

Mike had a long career at magazine distributor, COMAG, including 11 years as Managing Director. Over his time in the industry, Mike has also worked closely with the Professional Publishers Association, serving as Chairman of its Newstrade Committee, and is still a trustee of ACE. Mike joined the trustee board of NewstrAid in April 2004 and was Chairman for six years from April 2012.

All of our good wishes go with him. Following a thorough recruitment process, I am delighted that Mike has agreed to become CEO. His industry experience and deep knowledge of Newstraid made him the ideal choice and I look forward to working closely with him.”
