The DC Thomson Charitable Trust awards £20k grant to industry charity NewstrAid  

Media organisation, DC Thomson, has announced that a connected charitable trust will be supporting industry charity, NewstrAid, with a £20k grant for 3 years.

The grant will help the charity to continue to improve people’s lives through the regular and one-off financial assistance they provide to hundreds of former and current newstrade employees every year.

Neil Jagger CEO for NewstrAid, said: “We are delighted to receive support for NewstrAid for the next 3 years with such a generous contribution helping to ensure the longevity of our charity which is proudly celebrating its 185th birthday in 2024.

A representative from the DC Thomson Charitable Trust said: “The Trustees are very pleased to support NewstrAid and the important work they do to help those facing financial hardship or in need of support and advice.”

In 2023 NewstrAid paid out more that £830k to households in need and helped more than 1,400 people with financial, practical and emotional assistance.
