Helping Newstrade Families Prepare for the New School Year

NewstrAid is offering grants of up to £500 per school-age child to help eligible families cover the cost of essential back-to-school items.

What can the grant help with?

The grant can be used towards:

• School uniforms
• Stationery and books
• School equipment and kits
• IT devices and technology
• Other essential back-to-school costs

Who can apply?

You may be eligible if you:

✓ Work or have worked in newspaper and magazine sales, circulation or distribution for at least two years

✓ Have household savings of less than £6,000

✓ Receive Child Benefit for the child or children you are applying for

✓ Live in the UK and at the same address as the child

✓ Receive at least one qualifying state benefit

What you’ll need to apply

• Proof of your newstrade connection (for example, a payslip)
• Evidence of benefits entitlement (eg. a recent bank statement or benefit letter)
