What is Woolly Wednesday?

Woolly Wednesday is NewstrAid’s annual awareness day, shining a light on the help available to people from the newspaper and magazine industry who are finding it difficult to cover winter costs.

When does it take place?

In 2026 Woolly Wednesday will take place on Wednesday 4th November. This coincides with the distribution of NewstrAid’s Winter Comfort grant which provides around 350 of the charity’s beneficiaries with a small financial boost to help them stay warm during the colder months.

Wear – On November 4th pull on your favourite jumper, cardigan, scarf, hat, gloves etc. The brighter and bolder the better.
